We search for unique full-grain leather hides that have character and personality. Some are pristine and some have scrapes and scars and carry a story to tell. When we find a premium leather hide that we love, we buy it and then decide what type of handmade leather bags to create from it. Depending on the size of the hide and the artisan leather bag we choose, we usually yield 10–20 items. No waste. We use every morsel of the hide. One hide at a time. Small batch leather goods.

We source our premium leather hides from our trusted leather friends in the Garment Center NYC, Virginia, Upstate NY, and Montana. The hides come from top leather suppliers around the world. We try to learn as much about each hide, its origin, and its story. Some are a mystery—we call them the "lost hides." Once we have the hide in hand, we find inspiration for creating handmade leather bags and artisan leather goods.

All of our handmade leather bags are crafted in Amish country, Pennsylvania, and in Baltimore, which is where we are located. Made in America leather goods are not easy to produce, but we believe in them! The skilled leather artisans and craftsmen who create our bags are like family.
